Edward M. Lebar

The worldwide BrandAsset Valuator community is saddened to hear of the death of Edward M. Lebar. Those of us who worked with him, as well as those who didn’t, owe him a great deal.

BAV was in its infancy when Ed Lebar joined us. His business acumen and perspective about clients let us take the tool to new heights, enabling BAV to deliver on its promise, while guiding it to become the largest worldwide model of brand equity.

Working with Ed Lebar was special. Nothing was more inspiring than working with Ed to invent new constructs and perspectives. Those of us who were there from the beginning know how his energy and vision empowered us to be inventive, as well as inspired clients to appreciate the value of their brands. Hungry for data and insight, Ed was a great leader.

Personally, Ed had a zest for life and warmth and humanity that we should all try to emulate. Easily excited, amazingly supportive and so much fun. We missed him when he left us.

We wish comfort to his loved ones.
